Pebble Beach is Perfect in April + 17-Mile Drive Tips

17 Mile Drive – The Lone Cypress

I’ll never forget my surprise trip to Pebble Beach for my 29th birthday – it was truly magical! I wanted to show you some of my favorite pictures from the trip. The resort is stunning, and the views of the coast from 17-Mile Drive are absolutely breath-taking! If you get the opportunity to visit Pebble Beach, I highly recommend it. The service is top-notch (we were even chauffeured to our room in a golf cart – too cool!). There are so many restaurants to try, a new marketplace with great coffee, and of course plenty of shops to browse. Visiting in April was perfect – the weather was mild and chilly – we loved the crisp, cool beach air. Plus, it wasn’t crowded! You can simply stop off at Pebble Beach at the end of the 17-Mile drive.

Here are a few of my tips for making the most out of the 17-Mile Drive:

  • Only stop at the spots that you really want to. This reduces the amount of parking you may have to do along the busy coastline. I suggest planning ahead with the stops that are on your must-see list by using the new Pebble Beach app. Or another method is to to just go with the flow and stop off at the least-crowded stops along the way to make your experience easier.
  • Check out the boardwalk at the Spanish Bay stop. We didn’t discover this gem until our second visit to the 17-Mile Drive. It’s so beautiful and super fun to walk along the wooden boardwalk along the gorgeous coastline.
  • Take the 17-Mile Drive route in reverse. Not as many sight-seers drive the route in the reverse direction, so you may be able to snag a parking spot on the opposite side of the street.
