How to Prepare for The Tortured Poets Department

How to Prepare for the Tortured Poets Department

Are you ready for it? … Here’s how to prepare for The Tortured Poets Department. Taylor Swift releases her latest album on April 19th at midnight EST. So that means we’re just a week away from officially entering the Tortured Poets Department Era. If you’re like me, then you’re already prepping for the album release. I literally can’t wait! Here are my tips for how to prep.

How to Prepare for The Tortured Poets Department

1. Deep Dive into the Department

First things first. To make sure you have access to the album as soon as it drops, make sure to pre-add the album to wherever you like to listen to your music. For me, that’s Apple Music. Here’s the Apple Music link to the album.

Also, don’t forget to pre-order any physical music. I pre-ordered a few versions of the vinyls. Based on my past experience, the vinyls from the official Taylor Swift Store came much later than the release date; so I recommend making sure to have your digital version ready to go just in case the physical copies come late.

2. Dress the Part

Based off of the aesthetic of the TTPD album cover, the ever-so-classic black and white theme is in for this era. Don’t be afraid to channel your inner literary vibes in a chic style. I rounded up some fun tees and sweatshirts to don while listening to the album. To shop, simply click on the images:

I found the perfect TTPD dress for myself – it’s black and white and even has bows! It runs TTS for me, and when I ordered a while ago, it had really fast shipping. Let me know if you have any questions!

Officially entering my era of The Tortured Poets Department where I’m all about white, black, and bows 🤍🖤🎀 This dress is making all of my #ttpd dreams come true 💭 Linked in my bio or comment “shop” below for the links to everything I’m wearing 🫶🏻 Anyone else counting down until the new Taylor Swift album drops?! #taylorswift #thetorturedpoetsdepartment #era #ttpdera #taylornation #taylorswiftfashion #beginningsboutique #brunette #fashionblogger #thelakes #folkloretaylorswift

3. Revisit the Classics with a Taylor Throwback

Taylor Swift has released a total of 10 studio albums. Since we’re merely days away from the 11th, now would make the perfect opportunity to sing along to all of her previous hits to get in the TTPD mood.

4. The Art of Speculation

Taylor Swift is known for dropping subtle hints and Easter eggs in her work. Take the time before TTPD drops to investigate some of the theories floating around about her newest songs – from the meaning behind the album’s name to her relationship with Joe Alwyn being the songs’ inspiration.

Here’s some Investigation material:

5. Curate Your Listening Experience
