Ciao! A life update.
Ciao Bella! Hope you all are doing great. Sorry it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted a life update on here. I’ve been dying to catch you all up and I feel like now is the right time. Going forward, I’ll be keeping you up-to-date a lot more, I promise 😉 Especially since I am super excited to announce that I am now working on my blog full-time – yay! My dream has always been to devote so much more time to Graceful Glam, but working a full-time job made that very difficult. I have so many ideas, I just haven’t had the time or energy to execute them. Not going to lie, it was tricky juggling a really busy full-time job, being a supportive wife and good fur baby mommy, keeping up on housework, buying a new house, blogging, and making some time for exercise and myself.
Taking the plunge to step away from my job of 9+ years to pursue my dream of working on my blog full-time definitely wasn’t an easy decision. It’s no secret that making changes in life can be scary. The fear of the unknown and doubt can easily creep in. Plus I truly loved and enjoyed my job! I will always be thankful for the best co-worker-turned-friend ever, the amazing students, families, and staff I had the pleasure of interfacing with over the years and all the experience I gained. What I learned a little over a month ago is if you don’t take the chance, you may miss out on your opportunity.
When God closes one door, another opens. I prayed a ton about it. And when God made the path and decision really clear for me, I took the plunge.
It’s funny, I got this Ciao shirt before I seriously thought to shift into blogging full-time. I love everything Italy and pink of course, so it was an easy fashion choice. But I feel the “Ciao” is so fitting at this moment in my life. Ciao is an Italian greeting that is used for both ‘hello’ and ‘goodbye.’ So in one sense, I’m saying ‘goodbye’ to the job I loved for almost a decade and saying ‘hello’ to flexibility and striving for my dreams.
I’ve already revamped the look and feel of my blog and am continuing to make it better all the time. I hope you’ll bookmark it as a place to come back to frequently.
