I’ve always dreamed of having a dark, moody accent wall in our house. I have to admit, finding the perfect shade of black is much harder than it sounds – there are a million different black variations. And picking it solely online is either trickier 😉 However, as soon as I came across Behr Premium Plus Cracked Pepper I knew I found the perfect shade! (Keep scrolling to check out all of the before, progress, and after pics.)

Danny and I had a lot of fun spending an evening taping off and painting the accent wall. The paint went on SO well, and it only needed one coat. For reference, the color of our grey walls is Kelly-Moore San Francisco Fog which paired really nicely with the Behr Cracked Pepper accent wall.

I love the design aspect of an accent wall. It gives dimension to a space without taking up space. I’m really into modern, clean lines with monochromatic tones (and a touch of pink, of course). Before painting, make sure to pick the best wall for the design you’re going for. A small wall can make a big impact when used as an accent wall. The Cracked Pepper paint fit perfectly behind our fireplace and made our white trim and doors really pop. I absolutely love it! If you have any questions at all, feel free to let me know.
